Gavin, Our Holt Renfrew Guy
Our job is not easy but very rewarding, it takes a lot of planning and organization to execute a perfect shop! We work with many go to specialists at different retailers, that we have built long lasting relationships with over the years. These are the Employees that share the same vision as we do that our clients are our number one priority and together we do what it takes to make things happen! We are very excited to launch our Feature Employee on our blog! Every few months we will introduce you to a new face some we have known for many years some we have only just met but they all have one thing in common they are the best of the best!
We will begin with the gentleman that I have had the longest relationship with, yes Gavin Ho in menswear at Holt Renfrew. We lost count of how many years we have known each other (or maybe we just don’t like to talk years) it’s somewhere around 12. Gavin is the most positive and outgoing individual that I know, he never has a bad day! He always greets us with a warm demeanour and a great outfit.Gavin has tremendous knowledge of trends and high fashion pieces and takes great pride in what he does! Here are a few questions that he answered for
Q: How long have you been in retail/customer service?
A: 17 years, Wait, what!? I feel old!
Q: What was your first job?
A: Pizza Hut. When I was in Grade 10. Loved it! The pizza and the job.
Q: What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
A: It’s as simple as whenever a customer will come to the store and ask for me or even when I get a text message from a customer, I’m like “really?! someone wants to see me?” considering there are thousands of people with the same job I have and many stores, including online that sells the same product. I am very grateful to have clients that choose me above all else.
Q: What does good customer service mean to you?
A: Being genuine and sincere. Selling with intergrity. Paying attention to the clients needs. Every customer is different, their needs are never the same. Sometimes the clients choose you and sometimes they don’t but it’s important to stay honest with yourself. Clients can see and respect that.
Q: What is your “Go to” outfit?
A: Not really an outfit but a jacket. A casual soft-constructed navy sport jacket. It goes with everything. It can be worn all year around, casually or formally.
